We, human beings, are a conscious blend of body, mind, and Spirit. We generally spend a considerable portion of our lifetime gathering food for our body and mind. We work to earn and we study to learn. Seldom do we pay attention to the needs of our spirit or our innermost self. The fulfillment of spiritual needs is equally important in life for the purpose of its completion and justification.
In life, all of us come to a stage when academic pursuits are satisfied and financial careers are successful. We no longer have the pressing need to gather food for the body and mind. Standing at this ripe stage of life we often wonder about the things that are yet missing. At this time we are confronted with our spiritual hunger.
All of us need to get away from mere physical existence into the world of self-understanding. Those periods of life which are dedicated to exploring the wonderful, yet mysterious, depths of your very own self is what we consider a spiritual holiday.
